DKM Real Estate was established just 6 years ago when Michael Clay and his partner Richard Davidoff made the decision to invest in the property market in what was then the new Eastern Block member of the EU - POLAND.

As a result the two partners invested personally in the venture and after purchasing a very fine portfolio became aware of the shortcomings of the local Polish Property Agents. Not wanting to entrust the job of letting and management of their own portfolio to complete strangers, we set up our very own Warsaw office.

Starting with just one member of staff, we now have offices in Warsaw, Kraków, Łódź and Kiev and have created very pro-active Sales, Letting and Management departments. Together with our own in house Lawyer we provide a variety of services enabling the UK and overseas investor to enjoy a complete hand holding service. The entire team is fully licensed in strict accordance with the legal requirements of Poland.

As a result of our experiences in the UK market and bringing that professionalism to Poland, we have become the foremost British Polish Real Estate Agency in Poland.

In June 2007 Michael Clay was elected to the Board of Management of the British Polish Chamber of Commerce and is their only London Director, the other board members being based in Poland. In June 2009 Michael was re-elected and appointed Vice Chairman of the Board.

Through new initiatives entirely created by us we have the ability to sell ‘Off- Plan’ apartments in Poland in a program deemed ‘10/90’ Clients can enjoy the maximum capital growth on their investment while depositing only the bare minimum with the Developer. A 10% deposit will secure the property and even though it may be 2 years before the date of completion, there is nothing more to pay to the developer until that completion takes place. In the meantime, the price is fixed.

The last 5 years has seen tremendous growth in property values and whilst the global slowdown has had an effect throughout the world, Poland’s economy continues to grow – leading Europe as at June 2009 with +1.9% for the 1st quarter, and is set to continue well into 2012 when Poland becomes a member of the EURO Zone and the Euro becomes it’s currency. In addition 2012 is the year Poland hosts the European Football Championships.

Mortgages for overseas property – are NO problem at all as we have led that initiative too, and the Polish Banks are more than prepared to lend to UK and Foreign investors. We can even arrange introductions to banks that have mortgage advisers and will prepare all documentation for our clients at no charge.

A complete fitting out, Design and Project Management services are also readily available and clients will be given as much hand holding as they wish to receive.

Finally, Michael started a new Bi-Lateral trade in initiative in January 2009 in partnership with the British Polish Chamber of Commerce. This focuses very strongly on the needs of British Business to Export and improve their profit margins by finding new markets such as Poland. Additionally, imports from Poland are equally of importance in this initiative.
