RJ Marketing Services, formed by myself in early 2009, can help companies with any and all aspects of marketing, but specialises in business development. I have a strong background in this area; my past employers include GE Capital where I was responsible for gaining entry and setting up distribution in new markets for consumer lending, and Toshiba where I was responsible for launching new telecoms products to the dealer channel, and for running communication and lead generation programmes.

When I set the business up, I didn’t want to be seen as just another marketing agency offering the usual brochures and advertising etc. – I wanted RJ Marketing Services to stand out as an organisation focussed on increasing its clients’ sales and customer base.

As such, I work closely with my clients to get a deep understanding of their business and establish:

(1) Why their customers buy from them, and what they need to be saying to them to encourage them to remain loyal and spend more.

(2) What are the key propositions and benefits that need to be conveyed to prospective new customers to get them to buy from you.

(3) What are the clients business objectives, by how much do they want to increase their sales and over what period.

Having done this, I will then recommend and implement appropriate targeted communication and lead generation programmes in order to achieve, and hopefully exceed the client’s objectives. This could be anything from direct mail, telemarketing, e-mail shots, press advertising, events and exhibitions, or a mix of all of these.

Current/past projects have included working with an Israeli manufacturer of biometric clocking in and out systems to establish a UK reseller distribution channel, and with a business broker in order to find potential business buyers and sellers.

Working independently means that I am able to offer a very personal and bespoke service to my clients. I am also very competitive on cost, as I do not have the overheads of a larger organisation.
